One Monday

The craziest thing happened today. For the first time in about two years, I wore sweatpants to school. I know what you're thinking: "this girl's crazy!!!!" Right? Well much to my surprise the world did not stop turning and I was actually quite comfortable.

I wore this outfit last week and felt classy. I have a habit of going many days without wearing color during the winter, but with the right textures and accessories neutrals can be interesting. Ya'll know I love my lace and this silver cascading necklace is a new favorite. This white tee is perfect for wearing sequins during the day because it's casual with a smattering of shimmer. Although my mother didn't approve of my matching skills, I think these camel oxfords work to show off the rest of the look. Happy Monday All!

Senior Portrait

I'd like to think that, for most things in my life, I make things happen. This outfit just kind of happened to me. I knew I wanted to wear a solid colored, simple top for my senior portrait (hope it turned out!). I had about 1.5 seconds to chose bottoms so I grabbed this lace skirt. Thankfully it matched and I ended up really liking this outfit. It's simple chic with silver details. Sadly this is probably the last season for my silver sandals. I'll definitely need a replacement- they're a summer staple!

More Laceful than Graceful

Hey guys! I have no idea why, but I'm suddenly in the mood to wear really girly (summery?)outfits. I feel like all winter I'm wearing jeans and boring tops because it's freakin' FREEZING. Not exaggerating, it hasn't been above 32 degrees for weeks. Anywhoo, I love this outfit I wore today. My sister thought it needed a pop of color, but neutrals in interesting textures can be enough. In a perfect world I would wear this with kick-butt heels. However, I'm in high school and I live in Chicago.....so boots it is. Either way, I love the way it turned out and the added sparkle from my bracelet and earrings. Happy Monday!

Day 21: Insert Clever Title

Hey guys! Happy New Year! I'm being a total lazy butt about catching up on the 30 for 30, but don't worry, it'll happen. I also have some holiday looks to post. This outfit was super simple and, in my opinion, still cute. I really like the color scheme, including the earrings, and the details make it more interesting. I'm in love with these lace skirts from target that probably about 50% women in America also own. This tee is great because it matches everything and has a billowy shape unlike the average v-neck. These earrings were a birthday present from Ten Thousand Villages. It's this store that sells crafts/jewelry from other countries and then gives the artisans part of the profits.

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and are still sticking to your resolutions! New Year's Eve outfit coming up....
