Playing Dress-up

I'm really tempted to delete anything I posted yesterday because I was running on no sleep. Just ignore that... Anyways I wore this on Thursday and felt quite like a lady. The pencil skirt is one of the most worn pieces in my closet and the cardigan is a close second. I like how the combination of the structured skirt, flowy blouse, and bright cardigan makes for a balanced looking outfit. The dangly earrings add a fun touch and the black flats are just basics. Yay for three day weeks and three day weekends! (don't you wish you went to my school?)

Tried and True

 I'm way too tired right now to say anything remotely enlightening about this outfit or anything really. Let me try to form some complete sentences....

I like this outfit. Colors are slightly boring but the pattern of the skirt is interesting. I pair this top and skirt a lot but I usually switch up the color or cut of the cardigan. One more day of school and it's another long weekend!! I'm too excited. Peace out.

It's Friday, Friday

 I love this outfit in its simplicity. The dress is so soft and comfortable yet it still has an interesting, flattering cut. Even as we go into fall, I can't let go of my wonderfully bright flats. The turquoise shoes and necklace add just the right amount of color to the simple dress. This was the perfect outfit for the end of a long week.

Survival Tactics

I've always wondered how to make classic summer shorts more dressy. Tanks and tees work great for lounging around in the summer months, but for school I prefer something more put-together. Kendi's post a few days ago inspired me to pair a flowy blouse and bold jewelry with basic shorts. While I'll probably always be a skirts and dresses girl, this look gave me hope that it's possible to look cute when it's 95 out. Hopefully just a few more days until we see some beautiful fall weather!
