Hey Guys! It's been awesome to have my normal lifestyle again so I can actually do things besides eat, sleep, homework and field hockey. Today I gave into winter and packed up all my bright, flowy summer clothes. It was kind of sad but I got really excited about wearing all my jackets and comfy sweaters. One thing that really challenges me with winter clothes is the lack of different silhouettes. I end up wearing jeans at least three times a week and then get so sick of them that I wear leggings or tights for the rest of the freezing cold winter. It was 35 degrees out when we left the house this morning and its only getting colder....
Since there aren't many skirt-friendly days left I decided to wear this sequin number from Loft. I absolutely love it but sometimes its a pain to style because of the shape and sequins. During the holidays I wore it with sweaters or festive tops and there seems to be something inherently "Christmas Party" about it. This summer I went in basically the opposite direction and created a bohemian look here. I liked how the belt look so I kept that and added the light yellow tee and little black flats, which I finally found at the bottom of my backpack after two months of searching. The earrings added a little sparkle. While its hard to define the look of this outfit I think that makes it more interesting. Its so easy to pick up a vibe from a certain piece and just go overboard with the styling. Don't get me wrong, sometimes its fun to dress up like someone different, but it can get a little costumey.
