Hey Guys!
Once again it has been a long time since I've last posted, but I have many cute outfits to catch up on and a lot more time to devote to blogging now that my field hockey season is over. Bear with me while I go back in time to recreate a few must-see outfits of the past few weeks. I'm starting with what I wore today because I finally feel unconstricted by what my team is wearing to school or what I have planned. Last week I got a few new winter pieces at Target and I fell in love with all the lace items they had. From classics like skirts and blouses to pieces I'd never imagined...lace cardigan? leggings?
I had to wake up early today to finish some homework so I didn't get to spend as much time as I'd hoped creating a great outfit that encorporated this top. I'm never the type of girl to do this, but I think I tried on at least six outfits this morning. It was hard to find the perfect cami that either sharply contrasted or perfectly blended into the lace. Also, my ripped skinnies just weren't working and I finally settled on a classic black cardigan with blue flats for a pop of color. Any ideas for next time? If its not too scandalous I was thinking leggings with a cropped jacket or maybe layered over a simple dress for a cool textured look. Both looks would be great with my grey ankle boots.
I'm thinking about making some changes to my blog and I'd love advice as to what you guys would like to read. I think the "Fashionable Friend" posts are interesting and hopefully Olivia can show some of her outfits soon. I've been inspired by Emily of Cupcakes and Cashmere to start posting on food I make and some other bloggers write about neighborhood restaurants, boutiques, and events. These type of posts would be scarce seeing as I live in a suburb of 12,000 people that contains three restaurants: Panera, a pizzeria (using the term generously), and a greasy yet amazing fastfood place. Of course I do occasionally wander out of my cave into the wonderful city of Chicago which is brimming with unique places to eat and shop. I'll think about it over the next few days and try to make these posts a little less schiztophrenic.
