Grunge Luxe

Hey guys! Its a long post today cause I have pictures in addition to today's outfit. As you can tell from the title and picture, this look was a mix of classy and tough. I've actually worn this outfit, but that was in my pre-blog days. I have to purposely stop myself from wearing this blouse EVERYWHERE; it is so adorable. The pearls add more classiness while the boots play off the grunge of the jeans. I'm a fan of outfits that have contrasting looks because it makes it so much more interesting than going all out with one look. (that is fun sometimes though!)

Blouse: Primark (London)
Cami: American Eagle Outfitters
Jeans: American Eagle Outfitters
Boots: Steve Madden
Pearls: My great grandmother's

Theres detailing down the middle of the blouse

Ok so my friends and I have a few events coming up and we were wondering what qualifies as "fancy" or "dressy" or "nice so we made a 0-5 scale of outfit fanciness. I have an example from previous blogs for every look except for 0. Not that I don't wear really casual stuff, but I would not waste your time posting it.

Type 1: This picture is a little nicer than the average 1 outfit. Usually it would be casual stretch pants, jeans or shorts with a plain or striped t-shirt. Also, minimal jewelry and plain shoes. You would wear this outfit on errands, around the house, relaxing with friends, or to sporting events depending on your style.
Type 2: Just like the previous one was a little nicer than a 1, this one is a little more casual than a 2. A type 2 outfit is cute, but still comfy and simple. It could include sweaters, graphic tees, jeans, flats or Uggs, simple jewelry or tank tops. You can definitely wear this to school, shopping, out to lunch or the movies. Type 3: So I would consider the two outfits above as 3s with the skirt being on the fancier side. A three outfit is fashionable, a little fancier, but still casual enough to pull of at school. It could include casual skirts and dresses, blouses, sweaters, nicer jeans, flats, boots, nice jewelry, and cardigans with camis. You could wear these outfits to school, casual restaurants, casual parties and similar events.

Type 4: This is the first "fancy" outfit, but it is not the extreme. Type 4 outfits are too fancy to wear to school on the average day. They usually include skirts, dress pants, dresses, blouses, tights, fancy jewelry, flats, heels, fancy sweaters, embellished/flowy tops and blazers. You could wear these outfits during the holidays, at a show, out to dinner, on a job interview or to a party.

Type 5: This is the fanciest level an outfit can be. It is usually a dress, but can also be a trendy two-piece suit (do they exist??). A type 5 outfit would include: dresses with fancier fabrics, heels, jewelry, fancy skirts, cardigans and blazers. These outfits work at black-tie parties, weddings, bat mitvahs, and formal dances.
